Let all the other shoes in the world retire, because they are not going to be more impressive than this pair of Gucci platforms.

We count four layers of platform in the Italian fashion house’s Angel platforms—a style many would shy away from but J.Lo wore as if they’re the most comfortable sneakers in the universe. This is how she posed on the red carpet of AFI Fest 2024 before a presentation of her film Unstoppable (William Goldenberg). She’s standing with all the naturalness in the world, as if she wasn’t wearing six inches of platform under her feet.

As usual, Lopez opted to style the platforms in an unexpected way. While shoes of that caliber could call for the most grandiloquent sequined dress in the world, Lopez prefers to keep the rest of the look almost casual.
