Since its inception in 2011, the LACMA Art+Film Gala has become a must-see red-carpet event, with A-listers flocking to the museum in couture gowns and bespoke suits to be photographed against the backdrop of Urban Light, a public art installation by Chris Burden that sits outside the museum’s doors. More than 650 guests attended this year’s gala, which raised a record-breaking $6.4 million for the museum to center its curatorial efforts on film.

LACMA trustee Eva Chow, who co-chaired the event with Leonardo DiCaprio, said in a press release, “I was thrilled to see so many familiar faces who join us every year to support the museum.”

Given that the event is sponsored by Gucci, several of the 2024 guests of honor, including Kim Kardashian, Cara Delevingne, Laura Dern, and Viola Davis, wore looks from the fashion house—though Kardashian, true to form, amped up the drama by styling her plunging, white column gown with a Garrard cross necklace that once belonged to Princess Diana.

After a sit-down dinner prepared by a Michelin-star chef, guests were given an exclusive mini performance of Charli XCX and Troye Siva’s Sweat tour, with the duo singing “Talk Talk.” Because nothing says Brat like a party hosted by Leonardo DiCaprio in a museum filled with priceless art, amirite?
